Bay Leaf or Laurel Leaf comes from an evergreen shrub or tree reaching 15–20 m in height. The elliptical leaves are 2.5–7.5 cm long, glabrous and shiny olive green above, dull olive to brown below with prominent veins. They have a delicate aroma and an aromatic, bitter taste.
